Mamta spoke on JNU violence - this second freedom fight, all students fight together

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has condemned the violence at Jawaharlal Nehru University. He said that all the students of the country should fight together on this issue. Mamta Banerjee said that she will send some leaders of her party to investigate the matter.

The Chief Minister of Bengal said that all of us are fighting another war of independence at this time, now even constitutional posts are not being spared.

Mamta Banerjee has condemned the attack on students and faculty and said that the BJP wants to suppress the ongoing student movement in the country. He said that in many institutions of the country, students are raising their voice regarding CAA, NRC, which are being suppressed.

Significantly, Mamta Banerjee has been an attacker on the Modi government, whether it is the issue of Citizenship Amendment Act or the National Register for Population. Mamta has so far held many rallies, marches against CAA and called this law anti-constitutional.

On Sunday, some masked people vandalized the campus at Jawaharlal Nehru University. During this time more than 30 students were seriously injured, including JNUSU chief Aisha Ghosh.

The Delhi Police has started an investigation on this matter and a team has been formed by the Crime Branch. The police has just registered an FIR in this case, while the identity of the attackers continues.

Let me tell you that apart from Mamta Banerjee, many opposition parties have condemned this violence and accused the central government. Congress leader Randeep Surjewala has compared the JNU violence to Nazism and raised questions on the government´s intention.
