hanbad: The Vinoba Bhave University (VBU) Hazaribagh has  served  show-cause notice  two senior teachers of the university for  their so called interaction with media .

The two had  interacted with media  recently  discussing  anomalies in the various schemes sponsored by University Grant Commission (UGC) for college students.

According to the information,  one professor of SSLNT Women’s College and  other P. K. Roy Memorial College (names with City Live)  had commented in media regarding the UGC schemes runs in colleges.

Taking the media reports published  seriously, Vice Chancellor Dr Gurdeep Singh  directed the registrar of the university to serve show-cause.  

While confirming the show-cause, Dr SP Sinha, Registrar said, the university administration has show-caused to two teachers individually and it is an internal and routine affair of the university,” said Dr Sinha denying commenting more on the issue.

On the other hand, teachers body came in favor of the teachers  as it came to know about the issue .

Taking exception on  the action taken by Vice Chancellor organized in a meeting at PK Roy Memorial College.

“It’s the prerogative of vice Chancellor, that he can show-cause or takes action on anyone of the teacher or employee, but it is unfortunate  that  spokesperson designate of college  who always  interacts with in media  has been served notice ,” said a senior teacher requesting anonymity.

Same is reality in case of the SSLNT Women’s college.

It bears to recall that, the ambitious UGC sponsored schemes to enhance student’s skills remain  paralyzed in  constituent colleges under Vinoba Bhave University (VBU) Hazaribagh.

The network resource center (NRC) to give exposure to staff and students about the use of computers are defunct in most of the constituent  colleges.

Similarly, the Scheme of Remedial Coaching at Undergraduate and Postgraduate Level for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Minority Communities Students are defunct in colleges as most students belong to these communities  are not aware of the about Remedial-coaching classes. Besides, the Career and counseling cell, English Language lab sponsored by UGC are also defunct in PK Roy Memorial College .
