KOLKATA : Dr Bibhas Khutia, a general duty medical officer at the Patanda Primary Health Centre PHC collapsed in the labour room and died.
This incident was happend on tuesday when Dr. khutia had helped Sonali Kulia Maji deliver a baby girl, suddenly Dr Khutia collapsed on the ground. After that he lifted by other staff and rushed to the nearby Panskura Super-specialty Hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Doctors said that Khutia had suffered a massive heart attack, Infact he had been advised to undergo a coronary angiography months ago. But he ignored his own health issues, instead took up the work load of the PHC upon himself.
West Midnapore health officials said that they have lost a doctor who had worked tirelessly attending to patients in the PHC
