KOLKATA : A Jharkhand-based gang allegedly abducted Tej Pal Singh, owner of Asansol Alloys Private Limited, from Nakra Jharia under Salanpur police station on Wednesday.

Singh´s family alerted the cops, suspecting that he had been kidnapped. The police collected CCTV footage and informed other police stations about the incident. Laxmi Narayan Meena, commissioner of Asansol-Durgapur, said, We have not received any written complaint from Singh´s family.

Pawan Gutgutia, former president of Asansol Chamber of Commerce, said, We are worried. We will take up the matter with the administration.
