Seminar on Applied Geo-Physics concluded at ISM

Dhanbad : A three days Seminar that was organized by department of applied geophysics concluded on Tuesday.

The program was sponsored by oil majors like CAIRN, ONGC etc.

Total of 500 students participated in the event from various colleges and universities like Benaras Hindu University, Behrampur University, Central University of Karnataka etc. Objective of the event was to facilitate interaction of the students with the industries experts.

Students displayed models of their own creation on seismic survey model, offshore oil production and many more things.

“Models prepared by the students of 1st and 2nd years students are very surprising” said convener of the event, Dr. P N S Roy.

The event is likely to bring in more projects to ISM from these oil companies “It has been a good experience interacting with industry expert and sharing the idea” said a 2nd year student Aditya.
