Dhanbad lad emerges bollywood director

Dhanbad : A Dhanbad lad, with dreams of making it big in glambiz, takes that leap of faith and heads to the big city.

With dreams in his eyes, and a burning desire to reach the top, he shakes off the ´small city´ tag and makes it big by step in bollywood.

Meet Raju Kumar Yadav, Dhanbad lad, after a decade of struggle in bollywood, now going to produce multi-starer action based commercial movie ‘The Lion’ expected to  be release in October, this year.

Senior bollywood star, Om Puri, Milind Gunaji along with actor Sneha Ullal reached Dhanbad for shooting. “The movie is based on Mafias that unfolds the atrocities and exploitations of laborers,” said Yadav.  

Detailing about the movie, Yadav said, the script is based on Dhanbad Mafias, and exploitations of labourers of a Faridabad based bangle factory. “It’s my first movie, and I am learning from the well known character stars like Om Puri and Milind Gunaji who consented to work under my directorship,” said Yadav who earlier had produced a documentary film ‘The Flag’ in 2013.

According to Yadav, ‘The Lion’ would be the first movie to introduce Tai-Chi stunts in bollywood films.

“The Lion is an action based movie, in which we introduced stunts based on Tai-Chi actions,” said Yadav adding that it is a low budget movie of Rs 8 crore.

The film shoot has been done at various locations in Dhanbad since Saturday but during outdoor shooting on Monday at Khadeshwari temple, near Golf Ground, unexpected crowed gathered to have a look of stars as well as the shooting.

“I am quite surprise to see film-stars here at Khadeshwari temple,” said Priyanka, a final year student of nearby SSLNT Women’s college.

Milind said low budget films also do good business if has a good theme and star cast. He hoped this film also would be giving good returns.

Om Puri said he is looking forward for good opening of the film as it’s based upon real life of workers exploitation.
