Dhanbad : A series of development programs were announced and achievements of the district administration were informed by the Deputy Commissioner Prashant Kumar in his speech while hoisting flag at Randhir Verma Stadium on Monday morning.

The ambitious program of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Jan Dhan Yojana has been a great success in the coal city.

Over 3 lakh accounts have been opened across the district.

Significance of the program “Beti Bachhao Beti Padhao” was also explained in Kumar’s speech. 288 educated unemployed would be helped with loan of 1 lakh to 25 lakhs for self employment.

He said that under the recruitment process appointment letters would be given to 869 teachers of coal city.

Under the JNNURM project, 228 crore fund would be used for providing safe drinking water to the people of Dhanbad.

During the Flag hoisting ceremony Police along with scout and guide and students of different schools performed eye catching parade at the stadium.

Artists also displayed different ambitious project like Beti Bachhao Beti Padhao and Make in India with decorated vehicles.

Cultural Programs was also organized in the evening wherein students of various schools participated.
