Mamta Banerjee will share the stage with PM Modi before the opposition meeting

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is strongly opposing the Modi government regarding the Civil Amendment Act (CAA). Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee will share the stage with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, just a day before the Opposition meeting in Delhi on January 13 on the Citizenship Amendment Act.

In fact, Mamta Banerjee will attend the event to mark the completion of 150 years of Kolkata Port Trust, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be present. According to sources, it is being said that a meeting of PM Modi and Mamta Banerjee can also be held in Kolkata on Saturday.

According to the news agency, there will be a meeting between the two leaders after the Prime Minister reaches the city at around 4 pm on Saturday as per the scheduled time. A senior official said, The Prime Minister will hold a meeting with the Chief Minister at the Raj Bhavan soon after reaching the city on Saturday.

However, no information about the agenda of the meeting to be held on Saturday has not come out nor any official information has been given about this meeting. Let us know that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the Kolkata Port Trust´s program and other programs during his visit.

Let me tell you that before this, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee not only separated herself from the Opposition meeting, but she said clearly in the West Bengal Assembly that if needed, she would fight alone. At the same time, he also announced the boycott of the meeting of opposition parties convened by Congress President Sonia Gandhi on 13 January against violence on university campuses and CAA.

Mamta said, ´I have decided to boycott the meeting convened by Sonia Gandhi on 13 January in Delhi as I do not support the violence in West Bengal by the Left and Congress yesterday. ´

However, the Congress says that Banerjee was invited to attend the opposition meeting, but coming, not coming depends on them. Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said, ´I am not aware of any decision of Mamta Banerjee. As far as I know, the Congress Party has raised its voice against the CAA and NRC within and outside Parliament and invited opposition leaders to come to the meeting on 13 January. I cannot say whether she will come or not.

According to the information, Mamata Banerjee is also angry with the violence by Left and Congress workers in the state during the bandh called by the trade unions on Wednesday. Explain that this bandh was called in protest against the wrong economic policies of the Narendra Modi government of the Center, the revised citizenship law and the proposed NRC in the whole country.

Incidents of violence and arson occurred in West Bengal during a 24-hour nationwide bandh of trade unions. The protesters also tried to disrupt rail and road traffic. During the bandh, protesters clashed with the police and they damaged public property. After this, CM Mamta said that the double standards of leftists and Congress will not be tolerated.

Taking a dig at the Left and Congress after the violence during the bandh, Mamta said, ´You people adopt a policy in West Bengal and in Delhi, they take a completely opposite policy. I do not want to join you. If needed, I am ready to fight alone.
