KOLKATA : After Australia´s Daniel Bull 35- year-old Satyarup Siddhanta the Kolkata boy, become the youngest climber in the world  to have scaled seven summits and seven volcanic summits. On wednesday around 6. 28 am, Siddhanta spiked the Indian flag on ice-covered Mount Sidley. His last elevation point was also fixed at 4,224 meter.  

Soon after, Das’s phone buzzed ( Satyarup’s friend) and Siddhanta said: “I made it. I am dedicating this summit to my country and my family. ” Even before he could say something else, the signal snapped.   Das been tracking his movements throughout his journey to Mount Sidley, the most remote volcanic summit in the world.  

“Sidley is different. Satyarup had previously been to Antarctica (to climb Mount Vinson and to ski to the South Pole), but nothing is quite like Sidley,” said James Stone, a British climber, who scaled Mount Sidley in January, 2017.  

This is a proud moment for all of us. But as he says, the descent is equally difficult,” Satyarup’s mother Gayatri Siddhanta said.
