Happenings of the Coal City on Republic Day

Dhanbad : Flag Hoisting ceremony was conducted by the district administration at Randhir Verma Stadium on Monday morning followed by series of events.

Deputy Commissioner, Prashant Kumar took the salute of parade performed by police, scouts and students of different schools of the coal city.

Amid various departments that showcased their work, “beti bachhao beti padhao” of the welfare department was showcased brilliantly by toddler girls.

DC distributed appointment letters to the newly recruited primary teachers. 570 appointment letters were offered to the teachers out of a total of 869.

228 educated unemployed youths will be helped with a loan amount of 1 lakh to 25 lakhs for self-employment.

A series of announcement were being made regarding the development of coal city and the welfare of public.

After flag hosting at DC Office, selected employees were felicitated for their quality service and their devotion towards their work.   

A friendly cricket match was played between District administration and people of coal city in the railway ground that ended up with the victory of administration.

Cultural program was also organized in the town hall where different schools of the coal city participated.

Guru Gobind Singh Public School that performed patriotic play stood first in the competition.

First and second runner up were Yashomati Sri Vidya Niketan and Lakshmi Devi Saraswati Vidya Mandir respectively.

Bharat Coking Coal Limited felicitated Dr. K C Srivastava (Principal of DAV Koyla Nagar cum Director of DAV Jharkhand Zone 1) for his excellent service in the field of education during the flag hoisting ceremony at Jealgora Stadium, Digwadih by Tapas Kumar Lahiri (Chief Managing Director, BCCL).
