Dhanbad : Be it hairstyle or attire...whatever Bollywood actor Salman Khan does becomes the trend of the season.

Days before the highly-anticipated release of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ on Eid, youngsters and revelers could be seen lining up outside stores to buy the Kashmiri kurtas, as adorned by Khan in the movie’s posters and trailers, to mark the occasion.

Directed by Kabir Khan, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ also stars Kareena Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The movie, which released on Friday, revolves around the story of a Muslim boy and a Hindu girl.

According to shopkeepers, the coal belt markets are flooded with a variety of designer kurtas but the Kashmiri green long-kurtas with embroidery and collar have been in high demand this Eid.

"The craze for Kashmiri long-kurtas is high among the youth because of the movie as youngsters are also demanding colorful long stoles to wrap around their necks to bring out the Salman look," said Mohammad Sabir, a garment-merchant.

"On the occasion of Eid festival, people prefer to wear kurta-pajama as it is our traditional dress. Now the availability of Kashmiri style kurtas may give us new looks," said Ashikuddin, resident of Aramor, Wasseypur. "The dressing and style of Salman has always attracted me and I am crazy about this new look too," he added.

Jafar Ahmed, another reveler, said the colour of the kurta doesn´;t matter as Kashmiri kurtas with shirt like collars are enough to attract the people.

"The Kashmiri green kurta that Salman Khan has worn in the movie is attracting people.

I have also decided to wear the same on Eid-day," he said while purchasing clothes along with his family in the Bank More market.
